It is produced by milling the whole buckwheat grain and sieving off only the inedible outer husk. The nutrient-rich fibrous layer covering the kernel is left making a very nutritious flour product. Buckwheat flour can be mixed with other gluten-rich flours to make bread or used in recipes for extra nutrition and flavour.
