The Two Providores Story
The Assassa family have been wholesalers of local produce and dry-store products for over 45 years.
In 1970, Sam Assassa had a dream to start his own smallgoods business, so he converted his garage into a storage area and delivered produce to his customers in his faithful Kombi.
His sons, Adam and Kaleel, grew up learning from him the importance of quality, integrity, trust and accountability as they accompanied him on his deliveries in his iconic van.
Today, Adam and Kaleel have taken the business well beyond the garage but have always stayed true to their father’s guiding principles. Previously operating as ‘Sydney City Foods’, the brothers rebranded to ‘Two Providores’ in 2012, making the conscious decision to focus on supporting Australian producers.
