Asterisk Kitchen was founded in October 2012 by Kate and Younes Khazour. Younes, a French-born chef and pâtissier, honed his craft at several prestigious, hatted restaurants. The couple began their journey in a humble home kitchen along the banks of Melbourne’s Yarra River, experimenting with sweet cakes to offer to the local market.
Today, Asterisk Kitchen operates from a state-of-the-art facility in Ringwood, where Younes, as Director and Head Chef/Pâtissier, continues to push the boundaries of culinary excellence. Drawing inspiration from French elegance and fine dining traditions, he is deeply committed to using the finest raw ingredients and maintaining rigorous manufacturing standards.
