This product is manufactured by Ito Farm in Arita City, Wakayama Prefecture. Ito Farm produce a range of juices and specialise in citrus fruit products, they base production around the concept of “gentle”, referring to removing the unpleasant tastes of the fruit, to produce a consistent flavour. Citrus fruits are picked locally, processed without food additives and the candying process relies solely on sugar.
Not only does candied yuzu peel make a tasty addition as a confectionary ingredient in baked goods and ice cream, it can also serve as a substitute to other yuzu products to add yuzu flavour to dishes. With lovely soft texture and an intense citrus tang, the candied peel is a perfect complement to chocolate, cakes, pastries, curds and other desserts. Add punch to ice creams and sorbets or use as a unique element to garnish cocktails or non-alcoholic drinks.
